The film 'Balandrau: Where the Fierce Wind Blew’ cinemas in February 2026, with preview screenings in Camprodon, Madrid and Barcelona. It was the most watched film in its first weekend in theatres, with more than 25,000 viewers. Directed by Fernando Trullols and based on the book ‘Tres nits de torb i un Cap d'an’y by Jordi Cruz, it has a screenplay by Danielle Schleif (‘Mediterrani’). The story stars Álvaro Cervantes, Bruna Cusí and Marc Martínez, as well as Pep Ambròs, Francesc Garrido, Ágata Roca, Anna Moliner and Jan Buxaderas, among others. This story of love, friendship and overcoming adversity changed the protocols for mountain rescue operations in the country.

‘Balandrau: Where the Fierce Wind Blew’ is set in high mountain landscapes and boasts impressive technical production, considered one of the most complex in Catalan cinema.

Filming took place in Vall de Boí and Camprodon, and at the Boí Taüll, Vallter 2000 and Port Ainé ski resorts. Part of the film was also shot on a large movie set.
